AKJ_Hanami (flower viewing)

I know what all you hardcore Karate men are thinking, but Hanami is widely popular across both genders in Japan (probably due to the sake drinking part...).

Generally, Hanami involves sitting under the Sakura's (Cherry Blossoms) and drinking. We skipped the drinking bit and played cards instead.

I'm lucky to have arrived for the brief Cherry Blossom season, actually. Already, the Cherry Blossoms at the University have lost most of their flowers.

Here is we, by the way:

And there was one other Australian who arrived later...

Anyway, even if you lot aren't interested, this is for our garden enthusiast Karateka, who hopefully is.

I told you it's popular! Look at all of those people!

Another nice part of the park...

This last picture is of some of the Cherry Blossoms at the University.

Spring is pretty spectacular here. But beware of windy days - you might get a stray Cherry Blossom petal in the eye!
